Just got check my inventory and found 800 Federal 215M Large Magnum PRs. I used them some time w/J bullets (reduced loads).
Powders I have : 2400, Unique, Win 231, Power Pistol,H 4895, IMR 4198 and Varget (and dacron filler of course).
Thanks.

As long as the load is worked up with the magnum primer it should be fine. However, if one just uses the magnum primer in a top end load it may cause accuracy problems at the least and psi problems at the most. Work up the load.

None of those powders need the mag primers. I would save them for powders that need them. If you don't have standard primers, get some.

I would not dismiss the use of the Fed 215 primer. I use them in a 30-30 green dot load and a Swiss Precision Powder 210 powder load in a 7mm Mauser and they give better groups than with 4 other primers tried in those loads.
