I've been to several places looking at their boolit molds, but, haven't found anything to suit me/can afford. I'm looking for something in the 180-225gr size. I'll be paper patching, and the bore slugs at .352. Got a sizing die from Buckshot (Thanks, Man!!) so can make them the right size. Any suggestions? The barrel is a 12" twist. Thanks, mikey.

RCBS 35-200-FN. I loaded this boolit for .357 Max, .35 Rem, and .35-30 (.30-30 necked up) and, unless you're thinking about a custom mould, it's about as good as it gets.

RCBS 35-200 is the gold standard for 35 caliber rifle bullets.

And Elkins45 both have it right, and it throws boolits in the weight range you are looking to achieve.

Well, it's unanimous for the RCBS 35-200-fn. Now to save up a bit to order one. Thanks, guys!:-D

Look at some of the custom mold people's lines. NOE, Accurate, BRP (If you can find them - Bruce made a couple of nice .35s) etc. Lyman has a bunch, but some of them I don't like. NOE made a copy of the Lyman 358009 (285 grainer) this is a classic. Mountain molds does GOOD stuff (if you don't design a catastrophe). I've got a MM 200 .358 RNFPGC that's sweeeet! Made from brass too.

I concur with the 35-200-FN, but I never paper patched it. Another boolit that seems to be inherently accurate with the 35's is the 195gr Lyman#358430
The way that boolit purchases the rifling is very similar to the RCBS 35-200-FN and I wonder if that is the key to it's inherent accuracy.

You might want to check out Accurate Mold # 36-210T. Tom made this up especially for the Marlin ,35 Remington. It shoots great in my old Marlin. Feeds like butter.

The 35 THOR is another great 35 cal boolit mold. Check HM2 molds for the 35 THOR

What does the groove slug to? .352 is a tad small for most 35 caliber rifles isn't it? All of the suggested molds are going to cast boolits at around .360.

What's the cartridge?
I have a custom bench gun in 35 remington with a 12 twist barrel that's shooting Very long and pointy 275 and 300gr boolits. My 10 twist shoots 350's.

I'd be interested in hearing about the cartridge, throat and load. I've contemplated shooting paper patch with mine, but haven't gotten around to playing with it.

As far as affordable heavyweight molds in 35. I don't know of any. I was going to bore out a lee 2 cav spare into a 1 degree tapered straight body and then put some rings on the body for gripping the paper.
