loads for a c-96 Bolo in 30 Mauser cal

I just acquired a Mauser ,C-96 Bolo in 30 Mauser cal. and need safe loading data for it. I am going to use 96 grain, .308 Hornady ROUND NOSE LEAD TIP boolits in it . what powder charge do I use in it that would be safe in the old girl? I don't want to use TOKEREV loading data in it, too hot for it. any help would be appreciated. toot.

I tried the 100g Hornady half jacket bullets in my C96 and they worked kind of OK but the case provided only marginal neck tension. Much petter results with a 105 gr. cast bullet from an Accurate mould with soft lube. This bullet over 5 grains of Unique is reasonabley accurate giving me about 4 inches at 35 yards with a forearm rest. Wolf Springs offers replacement recoil springs for a nominal price. A replacement made my Mauser lay the brass close to my feet and really tamed the bolt velocity.
