I've decided to buy myself a Crossno liner for plinking with my Sharps. Internet reviews are pretty good, but I wondered if anybody here has "hands-on" experience and comments on accuracy or preferred ammo........

It will do better than plinking accuracy. We have a 22 bpcr rules match here each May. We have at least 3 guys that use them. I have watched a good shooter with a Cossno liner in a Cody Ballard 45-70 with MVA Soule rear and globe front sight shoot into less than 3" from cross sticks at 200 yards with Wolf Match Target ammo. I watched the same shooter put 10 out of 10 on an 11" gong at 1000 feet in a mini creedmoor with the same equipment. I would unhesitatingly recommend the Crossno liner.

I've been using one until recently (just picked up a dedicated falling block 22 to replace it). For such a simple idea, they are extremely accurate. I was using it specifically in my 45-70 to shoot our long range 22 silhouette matches. You wouldn't think that you could reliably hit those little tiny rams at 200 yards with a 22 rimfire, much less knock them over - but the Crossno does it all day long, and using Federal bulk ammo at that...

In fact - since mine has become a safe queen since the Stevens 414 came along, you could save some money and pick up mine. PM if you are interested.

I can only support the comments already made. The Crossno makes your BPCR a fantastic .22 match rifle.

Aw, BT, I already ordered one, but I might convince myself I need 2, since I own several 45-70's. Look for a PM
