Picked up a Dillon Media Separator Drum (without catch pan, etc.) at a garage sale for a couple bucks. Had to make it function for me so I made a little project into a big one. That's normal isn't it?

Thought as long as I was taking pictures I would show off some other projects.

I like it, how is the boat motor fit into reloading?

It's just keeping my Powder coat "spray booth" company.

Nice setup, what is all that space between tools? It looks like it could be tabletop but I have never seen such a thing on a reloading bench! Tim

Believe me, sometimes you wouldn't know what that top looks like from an junk on it!

Very nice, how effective is that squirrel cage fan removing fumes from the lead pot?

Squirrel cage is VERY effective. No smell or smoke even when fluxing. Came out of HVAC unit. I am really happy with it. Just a homemade plenum out the window. Even with the wind blowing towards the window it still works great.

Oh ****, now you have me thinking about another project. Why couldn't you lie and say " - it sucks, don't do it." I know that the squirrel cage vent can pull some serious air, considerably more than an overhead vent. Your's is the first setup I've seen put to practice for casting.

We used squirrel cage fan for exhausting paint and sanding dust in a small shop.
Installed the fan in a box, and the box would accept a furnace filter.
When the filter got dirty just change it.
Very effective for small paint booth type of work.

In my woodshop, sometimes you can't even see the floor, because all the scrap wood and sawdust. Anybody need sawdust for fluxing?

My kids moved out this year so I took over my daughters room for my reloading room. All the casting stuff, powder and primers say out in the shop but now I'm nice and warm, or cool in the AC indoors. Oh yeah!!!!

Nice one, waco. When my kids moved out I grabbed a room and turned it into my computer room . Unfortunately, no room for my new-found hobby (messy BP shooting). So no "man-cave", just stuff spread over a couple of sheds.

Best move I ever made. I only got the small room though. The wife grabbed the sons big room for her art room, but I got a Kegorator as well!:)

You can do well in a small space. Storage is key. I use an 8x12 room for reloading. In this room is a drill press, 2 550's, one t-magII, 2 lyman 45's and a lyman 450. Also is my casting area, shotgun loading area that has 2 600 jrs and a steelmaster. All powder, primers, boolits brass and shot are kept in this room. All presses are mounted and i do not have to set up and tear down for different tasks. Small spaces can be user friendly.

"I got a Kegorator"

Most critical piece of equipment. You look too young to be an empty-nester.

If not the most critical, certainly the most user friendly!

Yep. I'm 39 and the kids are 19 and almost 21
Time for the wifw and I to have our fun now.
Never got to screw off in my 20's!

I did not get started until I was 36, so I had many years to screw off. Works both ways, you are done (I know as parents we are never done) and I got a few more years to go. I'm 15 years ahead and behind you.

I'll be 62 in April. My daugher will be 12 in September. But she doesn't take up much space.

Oh, you screwed off in your twenties......

Mine is 20 and I will be 48 in Feb.

I like the Kegorator. It would be of more use with younger kids though......

I'm 54 and I have a 15 year old daughter. And for sure she don't take up much space.

I'm stuck in a garage, but no complains. At least wife leaves me alone. :)
