I don't remember who ran this mold, but I had cast maybe 50 way back when, lubed them with 50/50 when I got the mold and set it aside. Well, yesterday was the first time I shot any and they did real well so I ran a little over 23 pounds of them and that mold ran beautifully the whole session. These will be lubed with FWFWL. Now a bunch of FWFWL and a dollar or two worth of gas checks and I will be shooting 8 MM for a while.

Oh, 18.5 milsurp 4759 was somewhat of a group, 19.5 was good, 20.5 and 21.5 got better and 22.5 was all over the target . . . . this load could have gone south because case, boolit, gun and shooter were soaking wet. Since my range is not covered and it started raining on the 20.5 load and 22.5 grain load, peep sight, and shooter were soaking wet 3 loads later.

Wet booilt affecting load, or just past its point of grouping? It will be 3 weeks before I get to test and find out. In the mean time, 21.5 load will sit here waiting for Mr. PIG to come up under the bird feeder!

TCLouis-

Glad to hear you are having some success with the C325-175-FN Group Buy boolit. I ran that Group Buy back in the fall of 2005. My best luck with that boolit so far has been with 18 grns of 2400. That load will keep them on a paper plate easily at 100 yrds out of my 98/29 Persian Mauser. Probably would do much better if I got serious from the bench; but that darn load is so much fun to shoot that I usually just end up plinking them away at "targets of opportunity." That boolit has also "made meat" taking a couple of rabbits out of the wife's garden, LOL.

All of the credit goes to 45 2.1 for modifying the original Lee 8mm 175 grn. GC design into something more useful for a wider range of rifles. Some here have even shot it in the .32 Winchester Special with good results.

Blammer-

If you do a search for "C326-175-FN" you'll find the group buy thread.

modify Lee's 338 Boolit mold and make into a 6 banger. It shoots one hole (maybe 5/8" outside) at fifty with 39 grains of 3031 (about 1725 fps as I remember) and the Hornady coated 200 FP (33 Winchester bullet now discontinued) will go through the same hole with this loading.

200 gr. RCBS is not near as good with all loads tested so far, but I did find one interesting loading recently with a powder that I have less than a pound of, and of course that powder is no longer available. One disadvantage of any milsurp or "off spec" powders being sold out there.
I have not measured velocity with this new load, but it is beginning to have "felt" recoil so must be higher than the 39 gr 3031 loading.
