I just picked up a hawkeye tactical in 223. I noticed right off the bat, that the action does not operate like a Controlled round feed. The round just pops up out of the magazine and is not caught by the extractor, just like a push feed, as the bolt is pushed foward. I have read of others having this problem, and sending the gun back to Ruger, who would fix the rifle, but does anyone know what was actually done to fix the rifles. I would rather fix the problem myself without sending the gun back.
