Thanks for the boolts Loudenboomer, this is the nose profile I've been looking for.
In the picture it is seated to where the nose band touches the lands. If you enlarge the photo you can see where the lands are lightly engraving the bore riding section. I was concerned that this might be too tight but the boolit chambers easily and ejects without sticking. Seated this way they cycle fine in the magazine and don't bind at all going into the chamber. I think I may need to lengthen the nose band, as it sits now the crimp is right on the edge of the grease groove.
When I have my mold cut the only differences will be to have a .310" meplat, a slightly longer nose band (+.020") and it will be a 405 grain for COWW.
I go on days off tomorrow so I plan to go to the range and try them out on Monday. I will let you know how that goes.
