Old Marlin hammer spurs versus New hammer spurs

Does anyone have one of the pre 83 marlin 336's and a post 83 that they can tell me what the width is in 1/16" measurements and also the width in 1/16" of the post 83 336 hammer spur? Thanks, james

Soo, nobody has a post 83 Marlin that they can measure the hammer spur width for me?

My 1964 Marlin 336's hammer spur is a hair over 1/4" wide (0.273" actual), and the slot in a post 83 Marlin hammer spur extension I have measures 3/8" wide (but I don't have a post 83 to measure the actual spur).
