Just thought I would share my new tumbler.
http://www.harborfreight.com/1-1-4-quarter-cubic-ft-compact-cement-mixer-91907.html
With the 20% off coupon it was only $112.00
Just clean 6000 9mm in a hour, cleaned and separated. Now in the oven drying. That is 1 full 5 gallon pail.

That's one serious tumbler. How much were the SS pins?

It is small. Will only clean a 5 gallon pail of brass. but that is a lot of .22 LR.

I bought one used this past summer, but haven't ordered the pins yet. Still working on my dies. BTW it's the same way Miculek cleans his brass.

Do you think 5# of pins would work with 2.5 gals of brass? I've just started collecting brass and only have about 1gal of each right now.

thanks,
CC

5 LBS pins with a 5 gallon pail of brass work's awesome. I have herd of some that don't use pins they say it works good. I have not tried it without pins.

I so need one of those. I have a tumbler that can do 500 9mm at a time which when I got into reloading a few months ago seemed fine. Until tonight when my shooting friend and his brother dropped off two 55 gallon trash cans each half full of 9mm brass. I'll be busy at 500 per load in the tumbler for awhile.

OK, so next week could you have them run by my house with some 45, and 223?

Thanks

Bill

Lol, Texas, I'll get right on that! He said he had a 55 gallon can of 223 but it was to heavy to lift into the bed of his truck so he is bringing that later!

I use a 12-14 yr old model just like it from HF. It's litterly cleaned tons of range lead and brass. If your processing large quanities, it can't be beat.

It is not a full size cement mixer. It is about 3'L X 3'H X 2'W. Use it outside by the garden hose for a few extras rinses. Cuts down your cleaning time by 10. I wish I bought it years ago.

Got Powder/Primers? You must shoot way too much to have used that much brass.

No but a shed for smelting and cleaning outside the house. Reloading and drying done indoors.

I upgraded to this new size of SS pins 6 months ago and very seldom do I get SS pins stuck in the flash hole.
