Cast Boolits and Triple 7 in a 3030?

Wondering if it is possible to reload a 3030 case with triple 7 powder and a 170 grain wheel weight cast boolit? Anyone ever done this? Results? Thanks CrAig

If you are intent upon using Faux BP I would suggest you consider BH209 as it cleans like smokeless (solvent rather than water). I know a fella that regularly shoots a .25-20 Win. w/BP....works quite well. The .30-30 was never a BP cartridge but from what I've read of people that load with BP it works well. Expect something around 1600-1700 fps in the .30-30 with that bullet they say. You could and probably should use a softer alloy than WW, maybe 1:30 to perhaps 50/50 WW/PB and a dash of tin at the top end of hardness. And a very soft lube such as SPG.
