H&R-NEF forends

Hey guys. I have an NEF Pardner .410 shotgun made in 1990. It has the straight bottom forend, I've found a schnabel style forend that came off a 12 gauge for a good price. Will it fit my shotgun? I know the barrels are interchangeable but don't know about forends.

That seems like an unlikely match. The forend from the 12 gauge shotgun is going to have a considerably larger barrel channel than will be filled by your 410 barrel.

Not sure of it will as i am not familiar with the shotgun wood.
the fitting of the for-end both in diameter, and length from the
screw to the action is critical for accuracy in rifles.
If you're adventurous, there is a seller on ebone selling semi finished wood for H&R's
for like 9 bucks

Thanks. I found the forend on Fleabay for a low price, just don't know if it will fit my gun. The .410 barrel is super thick compared to other guns.

H&R--handi barrels DO NOT INTERCHANGE they can be fitted , maybe,

the distance from the plastic piece on the fore-arm to the screwhole has been the same on all h&r/nef guns for years so it should bolt up to yer gun. I have a stock set from a 12ga topper deluxe classic on my buffalo classic 45/70 & it fits great with just a small barely noticeable gap on each side.

It will "fit" but the barrel channel will be rather large. I have one on my 270 with the schnable i would trade for the straight if you like.

He doesn't have a handi.

And in my experiance with all the NEF/H&R/Marlin single shot rifles and shotguns the barrels interchanged just find. I just wont pop off a rifle cartridge on a shotgun frame.
