.

Since not many people collect newer (post-64) Winchester 94's, these can only be a generalization DOM made for any manufactured after 1983 - unless you call the Winchester Cust Service Dept with the SN.

I doubt Winchester would be able to tell you the exact DOM, though - since all their production records were turned over to BATF when the New Haven plant was closed in 2006, and BATF isn't talkin'.........................

You didn't mention if your M94 is a top-eject 94 or a M94AE (angle-eject).

If it's a top-eject (which I doubt), it was made prior to 1983, and I (among other collectors) can tell you the DOM from the SN.

If it's a "no lawyer safety" 94AE, it was made between 1983-92. (about SN 5,300,000 to about SN 6,000,000)

If it's a "crossbolt safety" 94AE, it was made between 1993-2003. (about SN 6,000,000 to about SN 6,450,000)

If it's a "tang safety" 94AE, it was made between 2003-06. (about SN 6,450,000 to the end of production @ about SN 7,000,000 +)

It is a top eject. There is no safety (It does have the lever safety) The serial # starts with LF and then 5 numbers.(i think) I can get it later as the gun is not here it is at my shop. I thought I had it written down but can't find it. It is a Legacy Frontiersman

Your Legendary Frontiersman is a post-64 Model 94's commemorative made in 1979 - One of 20,000 LF's.
