RCBS 1010 question [Archive]

I got a used RCBS 1010 in a deal the other day. It is missing the cover and the owners manual. It seems to work fine, but there are minor cosmetic issues.

It seems I've heard Ohaus repairs these, but can I just buy the cover? Do I try to get the cover and manual from RCBS or Ohaus? Anyone know anything about this? Is it worth doing? Anyone know the cost involved?

The 1010 if working correctly is a top of the line manual scale. RCBS has excellent customer support and will send you parts and a box for free. And no, they won't take your money. I bought a used one in a trade and it didn't work. Called RCBS, they said send it in and we'll let you know. Some time passed, not an awfully long time and a new one showed up on my door step.

RCBS provides support for the 1010 scale for sure. Call them. Download manual off their website.
