I am looking for suggestions on how to carry a scoped S&W 629 with the 8-3/8” barrel in the field for hunting. I am thinking of buying the Bianchi 4101 Ranger HuSH Rig. Anyone have an opinion on this holster?

Thanks, Jim

I have a homebuilt 44mag 14 ' bbl singleshot with aimpoint installed, and I use a padded binocular strap that I tied to it so the strap goes over one shoulder and the gun hangs muzzle down. It comes almost to my shooting hand, and I can grab it and swivel it up and push it forward almost like a MP5:mrgreen:

I use a tactical holster for a paint ball gun I purchased at a gun show for
$25. The butt of the gun is right at my palm making it easy to draw. I tried a shoulder holster but I did not like the way it rode my neck.

I am having the same problem. I have the 10", 45-70 BFR and I need to keep my hand on the butt when walking or it swings on the sling. I want a shoulder holster made of nylon but don't know where to find one. I am thinking of the big TC holster made for the 15" barrel Encore but don't know if the gun will fit. I am not paying over $100 for the leather holster listed for the gun.
Uncle Mike's doesn't make one for the gun.
