Benjamin franklin air rifle

Wife has a Benjamin Franklin .22 pump air rifle that's been in family for a loooooong time. We have a pic of her with it at age 5. Wont state age but real close to me and I am 74. No markings as to model other than the name.

It needs new seals and I need a parts diagram or disassembly instructions, or someone to reseal. Any sources? Crossman was not interested in discussing parts.

Last used it about 8 years ago to adjust attitude of pigeons that were making a mess.

I think Sheridan air rifles bought the Benjamin Franklin Air Rifle Company. And I think they have parts for the Benjamin air rifles.
But I am wrong a lot.:sad:

sheridan was then bought out by crosman. crosman does not deal with any parts or repairs of the older benjamin guns. for parts and service. look up bryan and associates. they deal with the old stuff like that, and have parts kits for most of those old models

Look on the back end of the air tube just above your trigger hand when you're aiming the gun . there should be a model number. If its a pump and from 40s or 50s it is most likely a 312.

If you can't find new seals try soaking the old ones in transmission fluid, or Pellgun Oil.

If it helps . You can find out if it is the exhaust valve or pump seal before you get parts if you have a air compressor . The compressor only puts out about 125 psi so do not worry about damage . Lift the pump handle up as if you were going to pump the rifle . You will see a hole were the air passes into the pump tube that the seal passes over . Use a blow tip on the air hose and blow air in the hole . If it leaks out the barrel you have a leaky exhaust valve . If it does not leak out then it is only the pump seal .Marvin
