Obviously the Star / magma air cyl is used to apply pressure to the lube resevoir. The factory supplied cyl is a double acting, is anyone plumbing their star with a 3 way valve so as to use air pressure to retract the piston, rather than just pulling it up and out when empty?

I just take my blow gun and blow into the empty port
You still have to yank it out cause the piston is still in the tube a inch or so

I just put a 1/8" mpt 90deg to 1/4" od ran the to the top and added a 2nd quick connect. I just swap the connector over and it retracts and makes it easy to remove.

What's wrong with just pulling it out? That's what I do.

Ditto!
I don't open mine that often to bother with another way.
