I purchased this book on Sept 22, 1971 from Elmer at his home in Salmon, Idaho. He signed it for me, I know these books are extremely rare but don't know the true value of them. Mine got water damaged pretty bad & I need to know what they are worth. I'm sure an autographed copy is even more rare. If you have any idea what the value might be it would help a lot, thanks.

Water damaged real bad ? That is really going to knock the socks of any value even if it is signed. I have heard of some signed copy's going for several hundred dollars. Check with Abe books and bookfinder.com also there is a Elmer Keith web site that may lead you to some information and a possible sale.

Reg, for insurance purposes I need to know the replacement value of my book. I'm in a lawsuit with the city over a flooded basement, thanks,

Dick

I see them listed from $350 - $400. With it being signed by Elmer, that may recover value from the water damage, assuming it isn't too bad.
