Would not hunt all week, too warm to hang one. Went out Fri afternoon in a cold drizzle, then the sky opened up. Nothing. Too lazy Sat morning but went out later.
Had a little one come down the hill but nothing else. I watched and waited, never heard or seen another as it got darker. Have not seen a decent deer all season, they are on the other road, no food here. I seen 50 on the other road last week coming home but we can't hunt there.
I had just a few minutes of light and said, going down! About 35-40 yards. The .475 BFR barked and it dropped, fourth straight DRT with the gun.
Wife complains when I shoot a dog size but I figure the older ones have twins and the little ones might not make a bad winter, not a single acorn and they have no fat on them at all. The lady this one is going to does not like big deer either.
Get a picture later.
I might quit for the season and work on boolits.

That would be an interesting one, wish I had all the TC loads saved. I remember SR 4759 worked great in a 10" barrel. Let me know how it does.

Conservation is a numbers game. It doesn't matter how big the deer is, it's a deer. Deer numbers need to be reduces to avoid overpopulation. Congrats on doing your part. Enjoy your tender venison.

I like little ones, have a 1 1/2 yr old fat doe out in the cooler right now waiting to be processed. She'll be better eating than most of the deer I saw this past weekend.

Congrats, one of my favorite sayings is "Fresh venison is always good" Now, I'm a meat hunter, too, so I would prefer to shoot a 200 lb doe, but when push comes to shove, I will take what I can.

Good job
I hunt for meat.
Didn't go out this year.
Have not seen many deer, heard they got hit with a hemorrhagic disease this year.
Heard on the news CWD has been spotted in MO. deer.
