I thought I'd size and lube some Lee 310gr .44's

I'm about all out of H110/296, and 2400 so I thought I'd try IMR 4227 being I have a few LBS on hand.

Mixed brass, WW LPP, Boolit sized to .431 with a Gator check and lubed with Lars CR

Seated to 1.710" for my Ruger SBH

If memory serves, alloy is a mix of WW and range lead.

Never really played with 4227 in the .44. Its always served in the .221 Fireball

Back to the subject at hand, used 4227 in .41 and .44 mag. Good powder. Not quite the velocity of 296, but works well enough to kill deer in our part of the world. As far as the Fireball is concerned, it is my one and only. (and I do some amazing things with a Fireball in a custom XP100 with a 1-7 twist barrel; like take down full sized rams at 200 meters)
