I live on the shotgun forum and don't get out much! Maybe you guys can help.....is there anything to be done to a Remington 870 wing master that will lighten the trigger pull? A jerk and a yank isn't much good trying to put slugs in a target at 100 yds ++ out of a smoothbore shotgun. Thanks

I had the same problem with my 870. I took out my trigger mechanism, and honed the engagement between the sear, and the hammer. My trigger now has a nice (for me) crisp 5-6 pound trigger pull.
If you attempt this, be darned careful NOT to take off too much material.
If you do not think you can do this correctly, DON'T!
