I have this one piece Weaver scope base and rings, but can not find out which rifle it was made for. I called Weaver and so far they do not have any answers. The only markings is Weaver stamped on the side and 1111 stamped on the bottom. It fits on a 1903, but the rear seams higher than the front. All screws require an allen hex key wrench. It measures 5 5/15" by 3/4. Thanks in advance.

I`ve never seen a four digit number on any Weaver scope base, nor a machined steel base like that from them. I even looked thru my 1978 scopes catalog and nothing like that is listed in the scope base listings pages on pages 38 thru 41.

Rear thicker (higher?) than front. Only quick thing that comes to mind for me is a Savage 99. Not sure, maybe Rem 14/141?

How does it fit a 1903? I am not seeing that from the picture...

Kind of reminds me of the Tasco World Class mounting system. IIRC Weaver had one similar, and I don't think they were interchangeable; but I cant remember what they called it. I want to say they were marketed some time in the 1980's.

I know this wasn't much help; but you say it fits the 1903, and you have rings for it; so what else do you need to know?

I have one similar number 5546. If you separate 55 from 46 you get the two modern Weaver bases. Husqvarna Mauser (and Swedish military m/1896). The are no raised bosses like yours but everything else is the same. I have the rings, too, and they look identical. I believe they date from the 50s and 60s.

A guy from Weaver got back to me and said that it would be for a Remington Model 30. Probably 40's or early 50's vintage. I looked up in my Herter's catalog for the Rem Mod 30 and sure enough the front and rear modern bases are 11 and 11, same as what Dutchman said. The 11 and 11 bases also fit the Model 1917 Enfield milled like the Rem Mod 30. As for the 1903, as I mentioned, the rear of the base is taller than the front, Not level or parallel to the plane of the receiver, so it wouldn't work on the 1903. It appears that these rifles also take the same bases: Remington mod 720, and Savage Mod 40 and 45. Thanks for the responses.
