I found this mold at a local gun shop yesterday, it looks like an Ohaus mold for a .50 cal muzzleloader. The 3 driving bands measure .511/.512 and the nose is .497 cast with pure lead.
Has anybody seen this style mold before? I'd really like to know what it is.

Looks like a deer killin' trick when fired from a 50 cal. cartridge rifle or a Sharps capping breechloader. Have to size them down a bit to shoot in a muzzle loader, but they should work fine in that too.

I have one that I bought used from someone here that's a .54. I haven't tried it yet but I think it's a T/C mould.

Mooman, I figured somebody here would have one like it. As soon as we get warmer weather I'll borrow a friends rifle and see how they shoot, My .50 is a round ball shooter.
They should make quite a deer thumper if they shoot well enough.

They should shoot well in my 54 I think. It's a T/C Scout and has a 1/21 twist.
