I ordered some orange sabots and had some 500 g .458 boolits I shoot in my 45/70 used 100g volume of pyrodex R/S at 100 they were dead on in the X. The recoil is stiff so I cut back to 90g and got the same results, now to cast some pure lead for hunting. Sure kicked up the dirt on the berm, looked like an explosion (small) .All I can say is "WOW"

What are you planning on hunting?

were the sabots long enough? Can you give a link to see which ones you used? A friend of mine is going to use some of my 475 gr Whitworth bullets in his 50 cal. Ron

Look down the page the orange ones are for the .457-.458 boolit, and they are long enough.
