I have just tried AA#7 in my Dan Wesson 357 mag. I used 12 grns under a 140 gr TC hard cast bullet it shot better than my 2400 load with less noise and less kick has any body else tried this powder with cast bullets I am thinking about trying it in my 57 41 mag MG with a 170 gr TC Penn bullets. thanks for any of ideas.

I have used AA #7, but don't anymore. Accurate Powders are too frequently changed and subject to spotty availability here on the worst coast. Power Pistol has replaced it in the 38 Super and 9 MM for me. I tried it in the .357 but it did not deliver true magnum performance, and Unique is way more common and cheaper for mid range magnums, while H110 works better when I want stout loads. Still, if it shoots well for you and you can get it regularly, what's not to like?

I normaly use 2400 or H110 my self but I cannot find either one in Rapid City SD so I had a can of AA#7 from loading my 6.5x55 rifle saw some loads in my book so just thought I would try it. These are for paper at the range and ended up being a really good shooting load and not as hard on the gun or me. I did find a pound of 296 and from everthing I have read it is the same as H110 so I bought it to try also. Hey that's the fun of reloading.

Can't argue with you on that. It is fun to try different powders and bullets and see what you get. I can tell you though that AA7 works "OK" in my 357 and 44Mag, but not great. H110/WW296 is still the best powder I've ever used. Unique and 2400 are good but still not as good as the 296. Hey, have fun and keep playing around with it. You might stumble on a great combination and it's always good to have a backup with the shortages everyone's having at this time.
