HTC before gas checks and sizing?

Casting some 155 grain out of Lee mold. I have used Hi-Tek with good success in past, but never with gas check. Do I apply as normal, and simply put gas check on? Then size?

if the coating doesn't make the check area too big for them to fit i'd do it that way...
