From time to time I see people asking about this boolit designed for a 9mm being used in a 38 special. I have been working on a load off and on all summer and I finally think I have it right. I cast them from 50/50 WW and pure loaded them to +p levels with 7.6gr HS6 and it penetrated 3 milk jugs after going thru 2 layers of Denim. I'll do some chrono work soon and let ya guys know the speed but I'm guessing 1000 or so.

Is that an HP design or FP?

I cast mine from range scrap BH around 12-14. I don't size, but lube them thru a star and fire them in either 9mm or 38 spl.

In 38 spl, I have loaded as soft as 3.1 grains of bullseye for a very soft plinking round. I haven't started loading them hot yet, but will come up with a load with 2400 to really push this boolit.

It is my standard go to mould for 38 and 9mm now. In 9mm I use unique...

Great versatile boolit.

My intention is to use it in 9mm-38Spec.-357 Mag. and 357 sig!

How about a side-by-side "before & after" bullet photo? :)

I've wondered about that boolit for dual(tri?) purpose .38/.357 and 9mm. I just never wanted to spend that much money on a gamble. I'll be watching this thread with interest.

Nice! Do you think they make it in a flat point version as well?

I think it came with FP pins but to be honest I have a Lee 125 FP for that so this stays a HP configuration
