I'm off the books here, lead 180 grainers.
I've a Taurus ULTRA-LITE I'm trying to take the snap out of.
Bullseye and Red Dot are what I have on hand at the moment.

Will be back tomorrow.
Thanx.

5.0 grains -5.4 grains of RED DOT should sling that boolit down range accurately. I like that 5.0 grain load a lot, it has worked for me with every boolit I've tried it with under 250 grains. It is especially good with the 429-421.

5.0gr of either powder makes a nice lite plinking load with the 180gr boolits.

I regulary use 200 gr cast boolets in the 44 mag ! when loaded in 44 mag brass I get 800 fps with 6.0 gr of BE and 950 fps with 7.0 gr of BE.
so id guess about 4.0 to 5.0 gr of BE should get you what your'e after.

Start with 4 grains of Bullseye , but it usually takes more then that to tighten the groups up.
Seemed like an awful lot of air space, so I used 5 grains Bullseye under 180 lead.
Recoil is much more polite.
And is tin can accurate also.
Have not put any on paper yet.

Good. It's a good bear load in that Taurus DA too.

Which post are you referring to?

I started with 4.3gr. RedDot and a 240gr. slug.
Worked very well, 1" pattern at 10 paces off hand.
But it is a handful out of a UL and a 100 rounds is a workout.

ive done 4.2 bulls in special case with 160gr backwards seated flush as too not have lots of empty space
