where can I get a leather cheek rest that will raise the comb. I have a scope on my no.4 mk2 and have to wrap my left hand over the comb when shooting so that I can see thru the scope. I want something that looks proper for a vintage rifle. brownells has one but it looks flat on top. while i'm at it where can I get same for buttstock length

The lace on leather cheek rests used to be available Military surpluss and occasionaly thru the DCM/CMP for the Garands sniper versions. One f these might also work on the No.4 Mk2 stock. Also check brownells, Midways and some of the others.

Actually, those would probably not be the best choice. The purpose of the USGI M1 sniper cheekpiece is to offset your head and eyes so you can see through a side-mounted scope. The scope on a Lee Enfield is not offset, but mounted over the center of the bore.

I'd look at Smith Enterprises for one of their cheekpieces, or something like this (http://www.midwayusa.com/product/125776/blackhawk-ivs-performance-rifle-cheek-rest-with-rifle-ammunition-carrier-5-round-fixed-stock-nylon-black), at Midway. They're not leather, but...

Or, Cabela's (and doubtless others) carry this (http://www.cabelas.com/product/Triple-K-Leather-Cheek-Pad/706669.uts).

One can quickly make up a leather one on the cheap. Made this one up from scrap leather and hard foam rubber..

The GI cheekpiece has a slit in the back for removing or adding padding and shifting it around to change the head position to suit the user.
Several members of other forums have fitted the US GI cheekpiece to scoped Enfield rifles.

Repro No.4 (T ) cheek rests are available. These are of wood and attached with screws.

I believe the original Mk4 Snipers had a piece of wood attached to top. Look up pictures on line, why not find another buttstock and duplicate with perfect fit to you? Gtek

Late Sarco advertisements in the Shotgun News list a duplicate of the British sniper wood add on (a copy) complete with appropriate brass screws. I have a very nice nylon one from coyoteM1A on my M1a. try M1acheekpad.com to see if he's still in business. His is a very well made product.
