It will lessen shrinkage. You will not have "complete fillout" with COWWs btw.
The addition of the tin will almost invariably increase the as cast diameter of the bullet.

mixing coww plus 2%tin and then cut 50% with pure lead should result in less than half the shrinkage of a 50\50 mix of coww and pure.

It does and it is an excellent alloy for hunting bullets where controlled expansion is wanted. It is what I use and what I recommend.

I mix WW/pure 50/50 then add 2% tin to the total weight, if that's makes any difference.

Not a lot of difference, just more tin than I've found is needed. If it works for you and ain't broke yah know what they say about "fix'en it!
