a guy wants to trade me 35# of dive weights for 10 pcs of 223 brass a pound
what do you think

.223 brass should be about .09 to .10 each (gunbroker.com).... and dead lead is about $1/pound (this site).....He's not doing you any favors, but you save on shipping.....

If it is brass that you found for free then you are getting the lead for free. You can always make a counter offer to try to sweeten the deal for you.

Just remember that dive weights can and are made of anything that will melt and cast. I have seen them in soft lead, WW lead, and as hard as Lino.

The 223 brass I have been selling here and on another forum has been bringing about .08 a case.
I would say it would depend on whether it is easier for you to get more brass or more lead.

I would easily, but i have a lot of 223 brass. If he wants to box it up & post it to me, as long as they are lead alloy, not zinc. I'll send him some brass. Have him PM me.:mrgreen:
