I need honest information on a couple of equipment I have. I have three Lyman Moulds: #386178 hollow base mould, #40188 1cavity mould, and #311316 2cavity mould. My question is: are any of these rare?
And i also have two Lyman Mould Block Handles, a small and a large.
Please help me out guys, thanks.

........ Doing a bit of research it appears the 386178 Was a design for the 41 Colt. It was a single lube groove round nose HB design. I'd think it was a fairly rare design. If someone was afflicted with the ownership of a 41 Colt they might be lusting after this mould, and it's possible you might be able to retire in comfort on what it might bring. Don't know for sure but just guessing! :-) Can't help on the others. You can check at http://bulletmoldblog.com/blog1/?s=40188&submit=Search among other places.

The 386-178 is rare, they run about 150-185 bucks, when you see them on E-bay. The others are more common, with the 311-316 being very common, while the 40188 is a little less so, but not all that sought after. What I find interesting is that none of the 3 matches the caliber of the gun they were made for. The 386-178 was made for the 41 colt, the 401-88 was made for the 38-40 while the 311-316 was made for the 32-20, so yo have a 38 for a 41, a 40 for a 38 and a 31 for a 32!

The 311316 is not particularly rare, but seems to be discontinued. It does work really well in 32-20s and I've been told it does well in 32 S&W Long and 32 H&R semi-Magnums. I've been thinking of trying it in my 327 Fed Mag... the gas check design may make it good for somewhat hotter loads than plain base bullets can handle(?)

Then you need to obey the Terms Of Service agreement and place the items int he Swappin and Sellin area when you have your required time here or number of posts or both. You don't get to join up and immediately start selling here or putting for sale ads in the wrong sections. I'm sure you didn't know any of this and it was entirely unintentional, but those are the rules. It's explained down in the Swappin and Sellin section.
