Thursday I dig out the Christmas movies and start watching them as time permits. My favorites are:

Die Hard 1,2, & 3
Lethal Weapon 1,2, & 3
Terminator 1,2, & 3
The Battle of the Bulge
Patton

For starters...

What? You thought I was growing warm & fuzzy?

"A Christmas Story" with Ralphie. "You'll shoot your eye out".

My favorites:

All the stop-motion cartoons we watched as kids. I waited all year to see Rudolph and the whole bunch and now they are on disc! And I am now an olde kid!

Also Grinch, Charle Brown, and the other HAND DRAWN animation classics.

The first Die Hard and Bad Santa. You can't beat Billy Bob for pure class.

We've always called the Die Hard's and Lethal Weapon movies "Christmas movies" too.
People always give us funny looks. At least we aint alone.

Dont forget about Gremlins.

"A Christmas Story" with Ralphie. "You'll shoot your eye out".

Yup put a second thumbs up for Ralphie. It brings back so many good childhood memories. My kids still have their Daisy and we shoot it off the deck at camp all the time. Hope to pass it along to my Grand kids someday.

Don't forget about "Silent Night" with Linda Hamilton about WWII Americans and Germans celebrating Christmas. Of course there's always the old classics like "It's A Wonderful Life" and "White Christmas" and "Nestor The Long Eared Donkey". And we always watch the one about "Ralphie" - you're gonna shoot yer eye out as mentioned above. BC

It's sort-of become a tradition at my house after thanksgiving dinner to watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Clark W. Griswold decending into madness amongst the commotion. Cousin "Eddie" is the best!

George C Scott's "A Christmas Carol"...Dickens would have approved.

Scott was good, but I still prefer the Alastair Sim version.
I'll go for George C. Scott over the Reginald Owen version though. I think.
I don't even want to discuss the Henry Winkler version!

For military movies, how about Kelly's Heroes?

We are big fans of "A Muppet Christmas Carol" watched it every year since it was released and thekids are now grown! We annoy all the post-thanksgiving guests with our word-for-word recitation. Hahaha! Personally, I always have to watch "A Charlie Brown Christmas". I love listening to Linus retell us of the first Christmas.

A vote for George C. Scott and another thumbs up for Ralphie, two movies we have to watch every year.
