So far cast and otherwise, the 359156 is the best performer as far as accuracy.

Only one load too, 15.5 WW 296.

Too bad I am out of 359429s, they may be a performer.

The gun only has about a 125 rounds thru it including the 20 fire lapping rounds.

I noticed it cut a patch tonight when I was cleaning so it has a rough/sharp place in the rifling, but I did not feel it catch or drag when it went past the spot that cut the patch.

All that lead down the tube and not one lil ol speck of lead when I clean it . . .

I just don't ever get leading in a gun I shoot, not complaining you understand.

Barrel interior is really starting to shine.

Well add 9.9 and 10.3 grains of WC820 Fast (think HS-7/571) behind 358156 or 360-160 GB boolit for decent accuracy at 50 anyway.

Quickload says it is moseying along about 1450 - 1500 fps. Both perform a solid THWOP and blow a 1 gallon jug of water up at 50 yards.

I am surprised too with my Rossi Ranch hand shooting a steady diet of cast bullets the bore cleans up like a charm.

My new 16 in. Rossi will likely never see Jwords, unless somebody else buys them. I've got 3 suitable 357 molds, an RCBS 150 grain SWC PB, a Lee 158 GC, which I haven't used much, and a 140 grain Lee SWC PB, which will see most of the action, since it's a 6 cavity.
They all feed and shoot well so far, using my mongrel group of every brass brand you can think of. I can tear up a steel dueling tree at a hundred yards, (can't get further away than that at our range).
Also using straight wheel weights, sized 358 and lubed with my homemade stuff, (beeswax, vaseline, and a few squirts of LLA in a Lubamatic for the RCBS and Lee GC). The 140 grainer I've been sizing with a Lee sizer and tumbling with 45-45-10, mainly because it's so much faster.
Works good so far, I've fired about a thousand rounds of all three. Good lube star at the muzzle.
Got to find me a longer range, but right now, it's deer season and I'm trying my luck with that.

My brothers Rossi fouled something awful with J-words. Like, hours to scrub out the copper.
We then loaded and ran about 80 rounds of NOE 360477 PC boolits through it in .357 brass over 5.0gr of Reddot
with zero fouling other than a little powder residue!
