Now that I have purchased a Cabine Tree lead tester I understand why my casting results were inconsistent. I will be getting a lot of use from it in the coming months sorting lead from WW muffins to big blocks of soft? lead. I purchase some Lino years ago and tested that ( it is in ingots) and it tests to be clip-on WW, pretty disappointing but a lesson learned. I am going to sort by test results and try to group like readings so hopefully anything that has age hardened or age softened will be lumped together.
