steyr straight pull rifle (not carbine)

was gifted this rifle, it is a DEWAT,what a shame. extractor cut off, firing pin cut off , firing pin hole welded up
3/8x1 3/8 slot cut in top of barrel in front of receiver, no damage to receiver, barrel and action still covered with cosmo. very nice curly walnut stock, bore is damn near perfect. sure wish it had not been bubbaed.
I have an extra complete bolt, but no barrel.

I have seen a few of those for sale , tempting to try to build something out of one , I have thought about a mosin barrel and enjoy the cheap surplus ammo ,
