Lee primer tool and stuck small rifle primer

Somehow last night I stuck a Sm. rifle primer in the case and the primer bushing is stuck with the case. I can remove the case-primer-bushing from the tool but how do I safely remove the case-primer from the bushing? I think this was one .223 round that I didn't swage well enough in the primer pocket to receive the primer, at least that is all I can think of . This primer went in at a slight angle and hung up. I can post a picture later if this does not make enough sense. thanks.

Use a depriming rod/pin from a die set and a hammer to carefully tap out the primer. Wear safety glasses in case it pops.

Ditto on what Norbrat said, and take time to clear your bench of flammables. Just in case.

Got it out with some gentle persuasion while holding my breath !
