Can't show my wife them pics, she would be wanting me to haul her down there. lol
She will stay up all night watching them, and on good nights she sometimes drives out of town to be able to see them better. lol

Thank you for sharing these pictures. I have always been fascinated by the Northern Lights, and I hope to see them in person someday.

Such beauty.

Used to see them all the time years ago. Haven't seen them in over 20 years. Not sure if things have changed or if it's just because I'm not up half the night any more goofing off.

Seems like the same in the Anchorage bowl. It's definately been clear and cold lately. I still remember a deer hunt in PWS several years back in early November. On a clear night the stars are amazing, no light polution on Montague!

Here's a crappy cell phone picture through my office window of a sunrise this week.

Yes, they can be really impressive.

One night the wife and I were sleeping in our little VW Squareback right beside a
lake in AK. We were awakened by the bright lights, thinking someone was
driving up in a car. NO - it was the northern lights, so bright that it woke
us up. We got out and I took several pictures.

Great memories, thanks for the great pic.
