Polyester batting

After looking at some light loads for pistol powder in rifle cartridges, a lot of the loads call for a 1/4" polyester batten square to be added to seat over the powder. Anyone ever do this ?

this should pretty much cover it.

don't use a wad of Dacron on top of the powder.
I know this is how lyman described it in one of their reloading manuals [and later dropped it's use because of problems]
