All,
Been casting and reloading for a few years now, bought a Rossi rio grande last spring and traded some j-words to a fellow CB member before I had any 457 molds for some 457643 boolits, loaded um up with 35 grains of 3031 about 1300 fps and hit the woods. Was barely in the blind an hour. ( friends blind ) and 3-4 stool direction changes later I see brown, drop to knee turn 180 and poked a big ole boolit thru some brush. Couple minutes later I'm on a serious blood trail and 50-60 yards I find this fella. Dead.
Biggest buck I've ever shot. Between ribs on each side and an exploded liver. 11" tall x 15" wide and 7 points.
Have to say thanks Russ for pointing me to your blind and helping me dragging it out. 87662

Very nice, congrats on a nice liver shot....I am assuming we are looking at the exit wound in the pic?

With what's goin on at Rem-Lin them Rio-Grands are looking better all the time.

Entry wound is seen. That is untouched where it fell. I'm happy with my Rossi! I polished it up a bit internally, could use some more to totally slick it up.

put a couple thousand more boolits through it, it will slick right up.

I'm getting to be butterball myself but I'm blamed it on the buck as we drug it out.

Nice deer! Congratulations.

I would have figured Minnesota would have snow on the ground by now.

We have had snow but it warms up and leaves. Small puddles and ponds are froze. I'm by Lake Superior so our winters are kind of SOFT by MN standards.

Very nice looking deer. I really am happy with my Rio Grande. Looks about like yours only I have a 1-4x20 mounted on it.
