I watch 2 does sneak around me this morning , one acted like she was in heat fanning her tail . She got about 70 yds from me and I heard another deer coming from my right. I managed to get this old boy a 10 pt. to stop in a good opening and the T/C system 1 370 cast Maxi Ball over 90 gr. of FF black powder put him down . He went 30 yds before piling up when I got to him he was grave yard dead

Good going. Rut hasn't kicked in hard here yet. I saw no scrapes at all yesterday. So, they aren't fired up, or there are no deer left at all around here. I laid a scent trail out, put up a trail cam, and got no pictures at all.

Congratulations, that's a nice buck. I've been hunting on snow this week and am seeing lots of sign. There's one big boy in the area and he's got several scrapes that he visits at night. I hunted him last year for about 2 weeks but never did see him. I think I'm going to put a camera on one of those scrapes just to see what he looks like.

I didn't weigh him just guessing 150 dressed and its not a Omega its a System 1 t/c only made them for 2 years

The System One is an awesome rifle! Wish T/C or someone would make a it again. I like the switchable barrels on a solid one piece stock instead of the break open action.

I remember when the One came out. Several gun shop gurus said the in lines was a fad and would never catch on. :)

VERY respectable buck. Did you tooth him? 3-1/2 or 4-1/2 year old I'm guessing.
He will make a nice trophy and and feed a table full of folks several times over.

Thanks Guys , Griz he was old he only had the front few the rest was gums he had bigger back straps than a lot of pork loins I've seen in the groc. stores .

In Texas with our sand issues, that would put him at 5-1/2 or more. Once again, congrats on a fully mature buck. That's the stuff daydreams are made of. If a few of the less experienced hunters would show a little patience, there would be a lot more like this excellent deer. I salute you!
