The Dillon Eliminator is made by Ohaus, has a capacity of 511 grains and is good to +/- 0.1 grains. Ohaus make RCBS's balance beam scales also. I don't think you would go wrong with the Dillon.

The Dillion Eliminator is an excellent scale - It is EXACTLY like the RCBS 505 scale. It uses the same components and made by the same people - The beams are interchangeable, same knife edges, same floating agate bearings, same 3 poise system.

The base is shaped differently and it's blue.

This is one I tricked out a bit.

The Eliminator scale is still the best bargain out there for a manual scale. Buy it before January. For example, on Dec. 30, 2012 that same scale was $59. On Jan.1, 2013, the price jumped to $69.95. Dillon prices are increased on Jan 1.

If it's the same as the RCBS 5-0-5 then it's a keeper. I traded in my 30 year old Redding model 1 for a 5-0-5 about two years ago and wished I had done that 25 years ago....It is just a joy to use, accurate and operator friendly. LOVE IT!
I use mine like RCBS intended , without a computer. Seems like some folks can't do a thing less that computer is involved.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the input. Guess I'll be ordering it with the 2014 calender. CR
