You walk out a big store with a bright pink Daisy BB gun and the only comment you get is "some little girl's gonna be real happy at Christmas"

A guess it doesn't take much to amuse me these days, but the older gramma type lady who said that, made my day.

I try not to, but my wife loves that city. I can't fathom why.

Kalispell is one of those towns, when you see a group of women chatting, many times they are talking guns. And they know what they are talking about!

I had that happen 4 Christmases ago when I bought a stainless/pink laminate Cricket for my niece; she burst into tears and gave me a big hug! The LGS guy said it must be for a daughter or niece. I said it sure wasn't mine!

I guess I have to work on my aversion to pink? Sort of like ladies freaking out at the sight of a mouse??

But then it's what the recipient of a gift sees that really matters ......... so good on you!! ........... Another happy young lady introduced to the world of self reliance!!

My daughter got a nice walnut stocked Ruger 10/22. No pink for her. She likes wood and blued steel.

You are a real man when you ar not afraid to carry a pink Charles Daily 45 pistol. Did that for several years most accurate pistol I ever owned. The word is concealed carry.:-)

Way to go there!
Getting her a gun she wants is gonna make her smile.
My granddaughter loves her first gun, a Daisy. She has since graduated to a Bearcat 22. She likes camo, and doesn't mind some pink.
However, my wonderful better half enjoys her pink (raspberry) Ruger LCP, her purple, (lilac) Ruger SR-22, her camo S&W 22, as well as her blued guns.
We teach NRA WOT clinics, and the ladies usually love to see the colored guns.

I say a REAL man appreciates the fact a lady enjoys a firearm no matter the color. Remember guys, get the ladies involved & we have a bigger voting block & more gun owners. Plus, if the ladies enjoy guns, we can justify our own firearm related expenses MUCH easier!

Excellent! I was quite pleased when my 4yo son and my 6yo daughter selected OD Green for the compromise color between red and blue stocks on their new Savage Rascal Christmas Present. They both thought it looked great and thought they would hide better when squirrel hunting with green. Looks sharp!

Some of my 45 mags have pink bumpers, including my daily carry mag. Can safely drop it on the line during quals or matches and not worry about anyone picking it up.

I have been considering these on a blued 1911.
Does this make me a sissy?

I just today picked up a pink camo cricket for my wife. She isn't into guns, but she is into pink camo. It even says my first rifle on the side. Just hope my nieces don't mug her for it on christmas.

The little girl here is my friends daughter. I have no kids of my own so she is the chosen one :).
Her folks dont hunt or fish, but I have gotten them into camping thus far.She loves to go for
rides in the woods with me to look for deer and has been bugging me to take her ice fishing this winter.
Of course, she IS going! I did get the OK from mom and dad before hand, and will be teaching
safety first, then handling then marksmanship. ANY infraction of muzzle control will result in the thing being locked up
while she thinks about what she's done. Also, I think I have a gun lock around here somewhere to be installed when it is put up,
as there are other kids in the house. No one will be trusted. I am excited for Christmas for the first time in a long while.

I was living in a teepee down by Rollins when that blew.

Jim, I'd buy you a cold beverage of your choice if we could meet. To see you introducing a young lady to shooting,, who isn't even your family,, well, just plain outstanding.
Wish I could be there for Christmas. I bet it'll be hard to determine who's smile is the biggest.

Swaneedb,
Mt St Helens blew just a few years before we moved here from PA. There
was still ash around in places when we got here in '84.

Here is a shot of me and wee one, 2 years ago. Just after launcing on her very first float and fly fishing trip
