I've got a mostly Sporterized Arisaka 99 (rechambered to .300 Savage and bolt bent.). Shoots great, so I figure I might was well take it to its conclusion.
If I heat the rear sight mount on the barrel with a torch can I knock it off towards the muzzle like you can do with some Mausers?
Any guidance appreciated.
