Loads for ACP revolver

Got my 73 SAA. It's got a new from colt ACP cylinder. I someday will go cast, but was given some 230 grain WW FMJ's I'll use up first. Stuck em on top of 9 grs of HS7. I know it's plenty, but the barrel and cylinder being new I figure it OK.
THOUGHTS?
I went HS7 to get more baroom and less of a spiking crack

What length barrel ? isn't HS6 a tad slow for the application ?

Yes You just reminded me. I remember trying that in my webley and the result was no two the same so I loaded up some with 4.5 of 700X and some with 6 of 800X
