Looking for one for my new to me 5.5" SAA. Like something that holds it secure, but no fooling to use it. Can't quite make out the name, but this idea. Any thoughts?

PS Even the one in this pic is to fancy for me, so B4 we go recommending a guy who makes them but their all frenched up. NO

Plain jane please. Any info appreciated

The holster in the OP looks like a Mernickle holster. He makes fantastic stuff.

I see nothing about the rig the OP shows that rates as fancy other than that flashy/formal patent black finish. It is not an example of a traditional SSA holster, but drop the carry height down to where the plow handle won't pinch the love handles and it will be a neat trick. Change the color to match those black walnut grips (dissolve ripe black walnut hulls in a bit of turpentine) and use a softer less glossy finish and the same design will have that humble Plane-Jane attitude.

Looks like Glen has nack for the wholesome look.

And Attitude abundant. After placing and paying for an order,I merely asked if he could line them (At extra cost of course) he goes ape 5h1t and cancels the order. What gives

I have a Mernickle PS6SA for my .44-40 Vaquero. Nice, functional holster that looks good too.
