rossi action to marlin barrel, can it be done?

I have several 18" marlin octagonal barrels and was wondering if it is possible to mate them to a rossi action. Anyone know it this is possible? If it can be done I would like to have one put on my puma 92 in 454 casull.

If you have a lathe you just rethread for the Rossi and then rechamber, no problem. If the barrels are 18" now and you do't want to lose any length you will have to have enough diameter on the shank to rethread.

caution; the puma 454 has a special heat treating to withstand the higher pressure of the 454. might be better buying one in 454.
