They found me a Rossi 92 20", Octagon, case hardened receiver in 357 Mag.

Little more than round barrel, but I prefer octagon.

Now I just have to order a new front sight.

Why can't Rossi finally get the right front sight on the gun to start with?

Yahoo just in time to rush something together for rifle season.

Companion for the 357 Max pistola.

Last year I was on the search for a 24" 357 case hardened receiver in octagon. Never found one - Got mine through Steve Young at Steve's Gunz and even he said there were none to be had in the country, so I settled for a blued receiver. I put a Lyman firesight on the front and replaced the rear with a soule sight for silhouette shoots. Love the rifle - as I'm sure you will. Might want to get the video from Steve's Gunz, it's worth the few bucks to improve the gritty action as it comes from the factory...

That's what I'd assume, but you know what happens when you assume. LOL. That's why I asked to clarify.

I wonder if it could be reamed and worked to make a 357 Maximum. Then it'd be a true companion.

Smoke4320 Nailed it . . .

357 Mag.

44s and 45 L Colts abound, 357 are scarce as hens teeth unless one wants 16" barrel(like trying to buy a 20" AR15 Upper, 16" abound).

I came here tonight to fine addy for Steve's Gunz and luckily Baja Traveler posted it in this thread.

First thing one has to do is replace front sight . . . HOW STOOPID!
