I have a set of RCBS 32 S&W dies that I now think is different than what I thought I bought, looking for others thoughts.
Is this die set a matching set and which 32 caliber for sure? I don't have the box with a part number or caliber marking.

The sizer/decapper is marked, RCBS 32 S&WL/MG CARBO SIZE 2
The expander die is marked on the knurled knob, RCBS S&WL, no markings on the die body
The seater die is marked RCBS S&WL-MG SEAT 2

I had originally thought these would do 32 acp also but now think I have the set for 32 S&W Long and H&R 32 magnum, what does the CB group think?

Yup, I agree. These are dies for the .32 S&W, not the ACP. They will work for any of the .32 S&W cartridges but may not crimp the short.

The determining factor for each step is whether the die's action is able to be adjusted long or short enough to do the desired process. For 32 S&W and ACP, you must be able to reach down low enough to engage the case mouth to bell it open and crimp it shut, for 32 H&R semi-Mag and 327Federal Mag, you must be able to raise these operations (usually not a problem) and you must have enough range inside the sizing die to accommodate the longer shells and size them for full length. AFAIK, the RCBS set will handle the latter two, but I haven't tried mine with the former.

You may or may not be able to seat and crimp the ACP with those dies, due to case length. All is not lost though.

I bought a set of Lyman dies (at an estate auction) that are marked variously for .32S&W Long/ ACP. Also included was a Lyman taper crimp die marked .32 S&W L/ACP. I don't have a .32 ACP, but my recommendation is to try seating a boolit with the dies you have; then ordering a taper crimp die if the roll crimp isn't what you need or want.

I have loaded both .32 S&W Long and .32 H&R Magnum with the above mentioned Lyman die set.

OK, so it looks like I have a complete set of Carbide .32 S&W Long and .32 H&R Magnum.
Is it just google or do these things really sell in the $70 range for new?

Look at the RCBS price lists. My guess that that one is not in the cheapest section!

That last question was posed as a "wow I can't believe these are any more than .38 spl. or any other straight wall die."
