Old man wanted to take the B&D out and try some loads.
Some things that didn't help- the front rest was too low, requiring the shooter to push the rear bag close to the pistol grip. Made it harder to keep the gun from rolling after the shot.
The scope is a variable, 1.5 to 4.5x. It is difficult for older eyes to see if the aim point is sitting on the bottom duplex post.

STILL, even with those ankle biters, the group with the 158 XTPs is more than adequate at 150 yards...

The 160 gr Hornady FTXs were not too good for grouping, but it might have been my dad's eyes and the low power scope. But... my group with the 158s was promising... @2150fps, BC .206

The hole at the bottom of the white circle was from a clean barrel. I was holding on the bottom of the red. The four rounds to the lower right could have been tighter with better glass and a higher front rest. The outlier marked with a sideways "V" was the last shot. Recoil of the 158/2150 load was minimal.

We were fire-forming at the same time.

This is a view over the bench to the target.
